-----Constable Frank Stamshaw is Little Tall Island's only policeman, a compassionate soul who is torn between treating fellow islander Dolores Claiborne fairly and trying to impress his aggressive superior, Detective John Mackey.

-----John C. Reilly comes to the cast of "DOLORES CLAIBORNE" after finishing work on the "The River Wild," starring Meryl Streep and David Strathairn, who has the role of Dolores' husband, Joe St. George.

-----Since his screen debut in Brian De Palma's "Casualties of War," Reilly has racked up an impressive list of motion picture credits, including Lasse Hallstrom's "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?," Woody Allen's "Shadows and Fog," Danny DeVito's "Hoffa," Phil Joanou's "State of Grace," Tony Scott's "Days of Thunder," and Neil Jordan's "We re No Angels."

-----Reilly was Noah Joad in the acclaimed Steppenwolf Theatre production of "The Grapes of Wrath," which originated in Chicago and moved to Broadway, where it received multiple Tony nominations. For Chicago's Organic Lab, he participated in Shakespeare's "Titus Andronicus," as well as an original piece called "Walkin' the Boogie."

-----John C. Reilly is a graduate of Chicago's DePaul University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the city's world-renowned Goodman School of Drama.
