|
|
Direct from his acclaimed performance as the corrupt prison warden in "The Shawshank Redemption,"Bob Gunton joined the cast of "DOLORES CLAIBORNE" in the role of the empathetic bank officer who lends a compassionate ear to Dolores' tale of frustration and woe.
Gunton is acclaimed for his work on the Broadway stage, where he has earned two Tony nominations: Juan Peron in "Evita" and the title role of the 1990 Circle-in-the-Square production of "Sweeney Todd." His film credits include Oliver Stone's "JFK" and "Born on the Fourth of July," John Sayles' "Matewan" and Edward Zwick's "Glory." On television, he most recently appeared in the Golden Globe-nominated Showtime special "Roswell" and has racked up a string of credits in mini-series and movies-of-the-week such as "Starkweather: Murder in the Heartland," "Exxon Valdez," "Sinatra" and "Wild Palms."
