PATRICIA ARQUETTE portrays Laura Bowman, a young woman adrift in a sea of confused emotions, until she journeys to Burma and discovers she will fight to the limits for what she believes.
Characterized by a projection of appealing vulnerability, mixed with homegrown American toughness, Arquette's compelling performance in "BEYOND RANGOON" virtually guarantees her position as one of the most exciting new stars working in film today.
The granddaughter of celebrated actor Cliff Arquette, daughter of Lewis Arquette, and sister of fellow actress Rosanna Arquette, Patricia Arquette was born in Chicago and raised in Los Angeles.
In January of 1993, Arquette won the Ace Award for Best Lead Actress for a powerful and sensitive portrayal of a hearing impaired epileptic in the Lifetime TV movie, "Wildflower," directed by Diane Keaton.
In addition to co-starring with Johnny Depp in the Oscar-winning "Ed Wood," Arquette has played opposite Liam Neeson in "Ethan Frome," with Christian Slater in "True Romance" and was directed by Sean Penn in "The Indian Runner." Other big-screen roles include Sam Shepard's "Far North" with Jessica Lange, and the L.A.-comedy "Inside Monkey Zetterland." She most recently starred in David ("Spanking The Monkey") Russell's upcoming "Flirting With Disaster," which also stars Ben Stiller and will play alongside Matthew Broderick in his directorial debut, "Infinity."
